Get ready to spread warmth and cheer at our neighborhood’s Hot Chocolate Run Cheer Station! This special event is happening on Saturday, February 17, 2024, and we are thrilled to announce that the 15k portion of Charlotte’s Hot Chocolate run will be coming right through our neighborhood on Arnold Drive.
What you need to know:
Location of Cheer: Our cheer station will be set up at 2432 Arnold Drive, perfectly positioned to cheer on the runners as they enter our neighborhood after conquering an uphill challenge.
Warm Welcome: To add to the spirit of encouragement, we will be offering hot chocolate to all neighbors joining us at the cheer station. It’s a perfect way to stay warm while we cheer! Please RSVP so we can plan our quantities accordingly. Bonus points for being environmentally conscientious if you bring your own mug!
Festive Atmosphere: Expect music to keep our spirits high and a cozy fire to gather around. It’s going to be a merry time as we support the runners with our community’s warmth and enthusiasm.
Breakfast Potluck: While entirely optional, we welcome you to bring a breakfast item to share. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy a communal meal as we cheer on the participants.
Timing: The race kicks off at 8:00 a.m. at First Ward Park, with runners expected to enter Merry Oaks around 8:30 a.m. Our cheer station will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., ensuring we catch all the action.
Bring Your Cheer Gear: We encourage everyone to bring their own seats and signs. Let’s make some noise and show our support as the runners take on the course through Merry Oaks!
This is a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community, show support for the runners, and enjoy a morning filled with fun, warmth, and neighborly love. Whether you’re sipping on hot chocolate, sharing a breakfast treat, or simply cheering on the participants, your presence will surely make this event a memorable one.
